Does robotic surgery reduce recurrence or improve fertility?

Topic:Surgery
Affected areas:pelvicabdominal
An illustration of a woman getting robotic excision surgery.

Recurrence risk and fertility outcomes after endometriosis surgery are influenced far more by how completely and precisely disease is excised than by whether the surgeon uses a robotic platform. Robotics can offer advantages in visualization and instrument control in certain anatomies, but it isn’t inherently “better” for recurrence prevention or fertility.

What matters most is the surgeon’s strategy, skill, and ability to identify and remove endometriosis thoroughly while protecting healthy pelvic structures. If fertility is a priority, our team can help you understand how your symptoms, imaging, and surgical findings may affect timelines and next steps, and we can discuss realistic expectations based on your individual case.
