Dr. Vasilev is a fellowship-trained MIGS pioneer and founder of Lotus Endometriosis Institute, sought out nationally for complex abdominal–pelvic, multi-organ endometriosis excision and repeat cases where precision and preservation of anatomy matter most. He has taught advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for decades and brings a clinician–scientist approach to care—translating evidence, surgical principles, and emerging science into a coherent plan for each patient. Unlike generic “whole-person care” messaging from many well-meaning doctors, Dr. Vasilev is actually board-certified in Integrative Medicine, allowing him to directly guide evidence-based integrative strategy (including perioperative optimization), filter out ineffective supplement stacking, and coordinate targeted referrals when appropriate.

Dr. Vasilev earned his MD from the University of Southern California and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, building a foundation that combines medical expertise with leadership and innovation.
Residency & Fellowship
Dr. Vasilev completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Los Angeles County–USC Women’s Hospital, followed by an ACGME-approved fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at USC Norris Cancer Center & LAC-USC Medical Center—representing the highest level of surgical training available in gynecologic pelvic surgery.
