You suspect you may have endometriosis or adenomyosis

Should I take antibiotics for ongoing urinary symptoms?

Topic:Symptoms
Affected areas:bladderpelvic

If your urine cultures are consistently negative, repeated antibiotics usually won’t help ongoing urinary urgency, frequency, or burning and can create new problems like side effects and antibiotic resistance. In that situation, persistent symptoms are often coming from bladder inflammation or irritation rather than an active infection, so antibiotics don’t address the root cause.

Our team can help you document truly “sterile” cultures and make sure recurrent UTI isn’t being missed, then shift the focus to bladder-directed evaluation and treatment. This is especially important when symptoms keep returning despite antibiotics, or when cultures don’t match how severe you feel. If this pattern sounds familiar, reach out to schedule a consultation so we can sort out what’s driving your symptoms and build a plan that fits your situation.
