You suspect you may have endometriosis or adenomyosis

Does bloating mean severe endometriosis?

Not necessarily. How bloated you feel doesn’t reliably match the “stage” of endometriosis—some people with minimal visible disease can have dramatic abdominal distention, while others with deeper disease have little bloating.

Bloating is often influenced more by where disease is located (especially when the bowel is involved), whether adhesions are restricting normal organ movement, and the degree of inflammation and nerve sensitization in the pelvis. If bloating is persistent, cyclical, or comes with significant pelvic pain, bowel changes, or pain with eating, our team can help you sort out whether endometriosis, adenomyosis, or another overlapping issue is driving your symptoms and what next steps make sense. If you’re ready, you can reach out to schedule a consultation for a comprehensive evaluation.

Worried About Bloating?

Bloating doesn’t always mean severe endometriosis, but persistent symptoms need attention. Our specialists can help identify the cause and guide your next steps.
