You suspect you may have endometriosis or adenomyosis

How does the microbiome affect endometriosis and adenomyosis symptoms?

Topic:General
Affected areas:bowelpelvicsystemic

The microbiome (the community of bacteria in your gut and elsewhere) can influence inflammation, immune signaling, and pain sensitivity—all of which matter in endometriosis and adenomyosis. When the gut ecosystem is out of balance (dysbiosis), it may promote intestinal permeability and allow bacterial fragments to trigger immune activation that can spill over into pelvic inflammation.

For some patients, this immune “noise” can translate into more intense cramping, pelvic pain, bloating, and a lower threshold for flares when stress, illness, or food changes come into play. If your symptoms feel tightly linked to GI changes or you notice predictable flare patterns, our team can help you evaluate the bigger picture and discuss a plan that addresses both pelvic disease and contributing inflammation drivers.
