You suspect you may have endometriosis or adenomyosis
What if I have pelvic pain or bladder/bowel symptoms with fibroids?
Pelvic pain, bowel or bladder symptoms, and pain with sex can happen with fibroids, but they can also signal that something else is contributing. Conditions like endometriosis, pelvic adhesions, bladder involvement, or pelvic floor muscle dysfunction can overlap with fibroids and create symptoms such as urinary urgency, bladder pain, painful bowel movements, or deep pain during intercourse.
When symptoms extend beyond heavy bleeding or bulk pressure, a fibroid-only plan may not fully relieve what you’re feeling. In our practice, we take a comprehensive approach to evaluation so we can identify all likely pain drivers and tailor treatment accordingly, which may include coordinated supportive care such as pelvic floor therapy when it’s a good fit. If these symptoms sound familiar, you can reach out to schedule a consultation with our team so we can map out the next steps.
