You suspect you may have endometriosis or adenomyosis
What should I track in an endometriosis symptom diary?
A helpful endometriosis symptom diary captures patterns—not just pain. We recommend tracking where symptoms occur (pelvis, rectum, bladder, low back, legs), what they feel like (cramping, stabbing, burning, pressure), and how severe they are using a consistent 0–10 scale so changes are easy to compare over time.
Just as important, record timing and context: cycle day (including spotting), whether symptoms are cyclic or constant, and specific “situational” symptoms like pain with bowel movements, urination, intercourse, or exercise—plus bloating/“endo-belly,” nausea, bowel changes (diarrhea/constipation), fatigue, and any bleeding changes. Note what you tried for relief (medications, heat, rest), what actually helped or didn’t, and how the flare affected function (missed work/school, sleep disruption, inability to stand/walk normally). When you share this level of detail with our team along with prior records and imaging, it helps us distinguish endometriosis from common look-alike or coexisting conditions and plan a more targeted evaluation.
