How do I know if I'm a good candidate for myomectomy?

Affected areas:pelvicabdominalsystemic

Myomectomy may be a good fit if your fibroids are causing symptoms (like heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, pain, or fertility challenges) and imaging shows they can be removed while preserving the uterus. Your candidacy depends on the fibroids’ size, number, and location, along with your overall health, prior pelvic surgeries, and whether pregnancy now or in the future is part of your goals.

In a consultation, our team reviews your history and imaging in detail and explains what a myomectomy could realistically accomplish for symptom relief and uterine preservation, as well as potential tradeoffs such as recurrence risk, scarring, and the type of surgical approach that may be safest. If you’d like an individualized recommendation, you can reach out to schedule a consultation with us.

Wondering if Myomectomy Fits You?

Our specialists assess your symptoms and imaging to see if myomectomy can relieve discomfort while preserving your uterus. We'll guide you through realistic outcomes and options tailored to your health and goals.
