You suspect you may have endometriosis or adenomyosis

Does thoracic endometriosis always happen with pelvic endometriosis?

Topic:Deep Disease
Affected areas:chestpelvicabdominal

Many people with thoracic endometriosis also have endometriosis in the pelvis, but it does not always occur together. Thoracic disease can be present even when pelvic symptoms are mild, quiet, or seem improved after prior treatment.

Because the pelvis may not be the main source of symptoms, a normal exam or a history of “successful” pelvic treatment doesn’t rule out thoracic involvement. If you’re having cyclical chest, shoulder, or upper abdominal symptoms—especially around your period—our team can help evaluate how the pattern fits and discuss next steps for diagnosis and surgical planning.

Chest Symptoms with Endometriosis?

Thoracic endometriosis can occur without pelvic symptoms, causing chest or shoulder pain around your period. Our specialists expertly evaluate and guide you through diagnosis and treatment options.
