Will hormonal therapy help chest pain from endometriosis?

Topic:Deep Disease
Affected areas:chestsystemicabdominal

Hormonal therapy can help some patients with endometriosis-related chest pain by suppressing cyclical hormonal signaling that drives inflammation and pain flares, including symptoms linked to the diaphragm. When chest pain follows a predictable cycle, suppression may reduce the frequency or intensity of those episodes.

Response is variable, though—some people feel significant relief, while others continue to have chest symptoms or find side effects limit long-term use. It’s also important to know that hormonal therapy is primarily symptom management and doesn’t reliably eliminate existing endometriosis lesions. If chest pain persists or is impacting your daily life, our team can help you sort out whether your pattern fits thoracic/diaphragm endometriosis and discuss next-step options, including surgical evaluation when appropriate.
