How long does it take to diagnose endometriosis?

Endometriosis is often not diagnosed quickly, and many patients spend years seeking answers before they’re accurately diagnosed. Delays happen because symptoms can be mistaken for “normal” period pain or attributed to other conditions, and because routine exams don’t reliably detect endometriosis.

In our practice, the fastest path to clarity is a focused evaluation based on your symptom pattern and history, with imaging when it’s likely to add useful information. Imaging can help identify things like endometriomas or signs of deep disease, but it can also be normal even when endometriosis is present, so results need to be interpreted in context. If you’re dealing with ongoing pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, painful sex, bowel or bladder symptoms, or infertility concerns, reach out to schedule a consultation so we can map out an efficient diagnostic plan and next steps.

Don't Wait Years for Answers

We understand how frustrating delayed diagnosis can be. Our specialists use focused evaluations and advanced imaging to help pinpoint endometriosis quickly and accurately.
